How do I become an Alpenverein member online?

Choose a membership type, enter personal and contact details and submit the application. After we receive it, you get an email with payment details (including the variable symbol). Insurance is included with membership and starts according to the confirmation after payment.

When does the insurance start?

Insurance starts after payment and membership activation according to the confirmation email you receive. The activation timing is included in the application confirmation.

Which membership types can I choose?

You can join online as an adult, senior, youth or family. Each type includes year-round worldwide mountain insurance.
