The Alpenverein Weltweit Service (AWS) provides insurance cover for all members of Österreichischer Alpenverein for rescues in the event of any accidents during leisure activities. Protection abroad for services relating to repatriation and medical treatment covers leisure and occupational accidents as well as illness. Alpenverein Weltweit Service is valid worldwide, with the exception of third party liability and criminal law insurance, which are restricted to Europe. The insurer for the Alpenverein Weltweit Service is Generali Versicherung AG.
